FOH – Restaurant Staff

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated candidates to fill a number of Front of House positions prior to our official public opening in October, 2022

The successful applicants will have:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience is preferred
  • Important you understand and appreciate the value of teamwork
  • Are flexible with shifts that include weekends and public holidays
  • Respect safe food handling practices
  • Beverage knowledge is an advantage
  • A positive personality is required for the environment

Concierge

Responsible for the overall guest experience, the Concierge Team are the face of Te Arai Links. The role is varied and comprehensive, covering all guest services for the hotel side of the club. You’ll be responsible for meeting and greeting guests, check ins/outs and ensuring each guest receives a quality, personalised experience. A typical day will involve handling guest enquiries, booking activities, producing individual guest itineraries, and running a range of guest or operational errands.

While initially shifts will be Thursday through Sunday, from October onwards shifts will be rostered across 7 days both mornings and evenings.

Qualities:

  • A welcoming demeanour and service-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Critical and quick thinking under pressure
  • High level communication and fluent English. Mandarin or other languages desirable

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in high end customer service
  • A high level of personal presentation
  • Clean current Full driver’s license
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • Being bilingual whilst not essential would certainly be advantageous

Duty Manager

Responsible for the overall guest experience, the Duty Manager is the face of Te Arai Links. The role is varied and comprehensive, covering all guest services for the hotel side of the club. You’ll be responsible for meeting and greeting guests, check ins/outs and ensuring each guest receives a quality, personalised experience. A typical day will involve handling guest enquiries, booking activities, compiling reports, and executing several other tasks and responsibilities.

The Duty Manager is also responsible for supervising the concierge and porter team and overseeing the daily hotel operations. While initially shifts will be Thursday through Sunday, from October onwards shifts will be rostered across seven days both mornings and evenings.

Qualities:

  • A welcoming calm demeanour and service-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Critical and quick thinking under pressure
  • High level communication and fluent English. Mandarin or other languages desirable

  • At least 3 years’ experience in high end customer service
  • Some experience in a supervisory role
  • A high level of personal presentation
  • Clean current Full driver’s license

Porter

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join our Front of House team as a Porter. The role is diverse, covering a range of guest services, cleaning, maintenance, and general errands. No two days are the same and you could be involved in anything from setting up events, helping guests with their luggage, delivering room service through to transferring guests. Our Porter team ensure that all guests and members receive the highest possible level of customer experience, no matter the request.

While initially shifts will be Thursday through Sunday, from October onwards shifts will be rostered over seven days, with a mix of mornings and evenings.

Qualities:

  • A welcoming demeanour and service-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good level of physical fitness – this role involves lifting, carrying and operating equipment
  • High level communication and fluent English. Mandarin or other languages desirable

Requirements:

  • Experience in a high-end customer service role
  • A high level of personal presentation
  • Clean current Full driver’s license
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
