Current Positions

The Executive Housekeeper will be part of building the culture and foundation of the housekeeping and laundry teams at Te Arai Links. You will have the opportunity to utilize your previous work experience to create your mark at New Zealand’s latest luxury golf resort.

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for supervising housekeeping operations across the property as well as recruiting, training and mentoring team members, and managing payroll costs for your department. You will create and implement standard operating procedures, manage stock, and lead by example by rolling up your sleeves to work alongside the team as required. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and your focus will be ensuring that we deliver an exceptional experience to our guests while nurturing your team. Qualities:

  • Strong leadership and communications skills, and willing to be ‘hands-on’
  • High level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced working environment with a calm and professional demeanour
  • Experience with PMS systems, HOTSoS and Deputy is advantageous

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury resort/hotel
  • Establish and implement standard operating procedures
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring team members
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Outlook, Word and Excel, and knowledge of a hotel property management system would be highly beneficial
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Front Office HOD’s to achieve greater efficiency and an enhanced guest experience
  • Manage and report on stock control and inventory including sourcing new products, suppliers and adhering to a budget
  • Flexibility to work weekends & public holidays
  • A full and clean, driver’s license with access to transportation
  • The ability to live and work in New Zealand

Responsible for the overall guest experience, the Concierge Team are the face of Te Arai Links. The role is varied and comprehensive, covering all guest services for the hotel side of the club. You’ll be responsible for meeting and greeting guests, check ins/outs and ensuring each guest receives a quality, personalised experience. A typical day will involve handling guest enquiries, booking activities, producing individual guest itineraries, and running a range of guest or operational errands.

While initially shifts will be Thursday through Sunday, from October onwards shifts will be rostered across 7 days both mornings and evenings.

Qualities:

  • A welcoming demeanour and service-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Critical and quick thinking under pressure
  • High level communication and fluent English. Mandarin or other languages desirable

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in high end customer service
  • A high level of personal presentation
  • Clean current Full driver’s license
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • Being bilingual whilst not essential would certainly be advantageous

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join our Front of House team as a Porter. The role is diverse, covering a range of guest services, cleaning, maintenance, and general errands. No two days are the same and you could be involved in anything from setting up events, helping guests with their luggage, delivering room service through to transferring guests. Our Porter team ensure that all guests and members receive the highest possible level of customer experience, no matter the request.

While initially shifts will be Thursday through Sunday, from October onwards shifts will be rostered over seven days, with a mix of mornings and evenings.

  • Self-motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good level of physical fitness – this role involves lifting, carrying and operating equipment

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our kitchen team prior to our public opening in October 2022. Ric’s is set to be the casual dining option on the golf course with a focus on pizza and scrumptious nibbles to accompany a couple of drinks in the afternoon. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as room service when required. The CDP will assist the Head Chef in all areas of the kitchen operations including the preparation and service of menus for each dining period.

Responsibilities:

Duties shall include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage a section for the preparation and service of menus for each dining period to the highest standard.
  • Cooking for high-end guests, requiring flexibility with menus and attention to guest’s special dietary needs, allergies, preferences, and requests.
  • Continuously monitor the quality of all food served and ensure that it is of the highest standard.
  • Assist the Head Chef in ensuring stock levels are maintained at appropriate levels and are kept securely and under the correct conditions applicable to each type of commodity stored.
  • Economically and efficiently prepare for dining periods so that appropriate quantities are cooked, and portion sizes are controlled.
  • Ensure all areas satisfy the most stringent food, hygiene, health and safety and statutory requirements, including any food storage, preparation, and service areas at the club.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with the food health and safety standards of New Zealand.
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be required.

Qualifications

  • Must have previous experience working as a professional chef in a reputable kitchen and be able to demonstrate strong career progression over a requisite number of years.
  • Certificate in basic food hygiene or similar work experience
  • Experience making pizza is preferred
  • Experience in training and managing junior chefs is preferred but not required
  • Confident with managing multiple sections in a busy a la carte kitchen with emphasis on consistency and creativity
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand and currently residing in New Zealand

  • Ensure all areas satisfy the most stringent food, hygiene, health and safety and statutory requirements, including any food storage, preparation, and service areas at the Club.
  • Ensure all food is washed, cut, and prepared correctly and efficiently before it is cooked.
  • Any other duties the employer may require.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurants or kitchens is preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand and currently residing in New Zealand.
